Earrings: $5.00 plus $1.00 shipping.
All other items are priced according to materials used. Note, however, that nothing is going to go above $15.00 unless I decide one day that I'll go all out with Swarovski.
You have three options for clasps:
Toggle - This is where you've got a bar to pull through a loop.
Claw clasp - The default option if you do not select a clasp.
Regular clasp - I don't know the proper name for these. They're the round ones where they spring back into place. I don't usually fool with them as I like the look of the claw clasps better.
Note about gold-tone and silver tone findings and chain:
I only keep silver-tone chain in stock. I do, however, have all the findings and earwires for gold-tone earrings if you so please. If you really, really want gold-tone chain for a bracelet or necklace, I will accomodate for this. Otherwise, it will be silver-tone.
Background on my jewelry journey:
I started making jewelry exclusively around January of 2008. This was regular netal findings, glass charms, gemstones, etc. Why I got into it, I don't know, I just couldn't find pieces of jewelry that I liked, so I thought I'd make my own to go with my outfits and ones I could wear every day. I ALWAYS have a necklace on, and since mid-September, it is and will most likely always (I say "most likely always" because eventually I'll get to the age where wearing jewelry that matches middle schoolers pieces aren't my thing and readjust it to become a lovely anklet) will be the necklace that has my fiance's name engraved on a metal heart, the key to my journal that I never write in, and some pretty beads.
I moved to making salt clay charms when I found the recipe online and set to messing up moms kitchen for the thousandth time after she went to bed. The first batch wasn't so great, but I don't like to waste anything, I proceeded to try my hand at this. I do remember making a bunny (which eventually dried out completely and dad painted it), a weird rose, two ladybugs (one exploded in the toaster oven because of the moisture content of the clay and the high temperature) and the rest I used as a filler while I was working on another project with the second batch of clay. It's still sitting in a corner collecting dust. The third batch was a huge batch and born from it was the Super Mario Bros. bracelet, the cupcakes and muffins bracelet, McDonald's earrings, corn dogs earrings, pie earrings, various other unpainted SMB charms, a penguin (not featured here) and 11 plates of pancakes. Why 11 plates of pancakes? I was bored. They serve no purpose other than to fill a cabinet and collect dust.
I don't know if I'll ever move to use more colors of Sculpey (I only use white right now) because I like to hand paint my charms. Sure, it takes longer, but I get to add an even more personal touch. It makes them special, they come alive, and it just makes them look like they were made with more love than slapping together some colors and baking them. I take the time to meticulously put in every detail to ensure you get the greatest piece ever. (That, and I'm cheap. lawl.)
I LOVE SCULPEY! My work moves so much faster with Sculpey. I made more stuff with it in 4 hours than I did 3 weeks with salt clay. Sure, you can shove salt clay in the oven to dry it out quicker, but some times, it can distort and puff. I'm not a very patient person and if I can't get it done OMGRIGHTNOW, I ultimately lose interest. That's the great thing about Sculpey. While it's in the oven for 30 minutes, I can get my paints and stuff set up, mix some TLS for icing, ice cream, jelly, etc. and by the time I'm done, the Sculpey is baked cooled and I'm ready to go!
